Dr. Manmohan Singh, Honble Prime Minister
of India for assumption of office for second
successive term. FNTO has reminded PMO that
awarding of navaratna status to BSNL is
overdue and the same may be included in
the PMO agenda for first 100 days of performance.
We have also requested the
govt. to sanction suitable projects to tone
up the IT sector. This is to offset the
imbalance created by the latest US policy
on offshore resourcing.
We have
pointed out that strengthening of PSUs and
PSU banks is also necessary as these organizations
have served to check the impact of global
recession in India.

qualifying service, etc. to IDA Pensioners

The undersigned
is directed to intimate that the revised
rules for pension calculation as per 6th
CPC with regard to limit of DCRG, commutation
table, emoluments, qualifying service, etc.
is applicable to IDA pensioners of BSNL
covered under rule 37-A, w.e.f. 01.01.2006.
This issues
with the concurrence of Member (Finance),
DOT.
