On our agitation demands detailed discussion took place with Dr. HRD, G.M Estt and GM- SR. Talks will continue tomorrow.On the appeal of the director BSNL Workers alliance has deferred the program of action.

I.D.A. increased w.e.f. 01.07.2009 - For Executives 1.6% - For Non Executives 2.7%

1. Shri Thomas John K, All India President, participated in INTUC C.W.C. at Simla on 27/28th June, 2009. He also met CMD BSNLwith Shri K. Vallinayagam GS FNTOduring his visit.
2. One round of discussion held between BSNL Workers Alliance and Management on 1st July, 2009 over our agitation demands. Next round likely to day. Preparation for Dharana on 3rd July, 2009 should be kept in tact.
3. Shri K. Vallinayagam, GS FNTO met Shri G. Sanjeeva Reddy, President, INTUC on 1st July, 2009 and apprised him of the fall out of mass transfers in BSNL. The unhelpful attitude of the management also brought to his notice.
4. Shri Vallinaygam Elected Chairman of BSNLWA : Meeting of BSNLWA was held on 26-6-2009 in FNTO office. Progress on the demands submitted under notice for proposed agitation were reviewed. In view of reports received from various circles it was decided to intensify the agitation programme from 30-6-2009.

          It was also decided to strengthen the BSNLWA. Shri. K. Vallinaygam, General Secretary FNTO was unanimously elected as Chairman of the BSNLWA

BSNL Workers Alliance decides Shri K Vallinayagam, GS FNTO will function as Chairman of the alliance.
