	FNTO is not participating. A separate programme if necessary will be announced if BSNL proceeds with IPO proposals. Director HRD as Chairman of Wage Revision Committee? FNTO has been urging the Management to upgrade the status of Wage Revision Committee since from the beginning. Leaders of the BSNL Workers Alliance had also suggested that the Director HRD or the Director Finance should be the Chairman of the Wage Revision Committee so the talks can proceed in a faster pace. Recently, General Secretary. BSNLU has also requested the Director HRD to be the Chairman of the Committee, we endorse it. Being the Chairman of National Council he can use his clout with the administration for early settlement. Further, his views on wage revision and the contents of his D.O. Letter to the General Secretaries of the representative union was endorsed by most of the applicant unions and also by a cross section of the BSNL Workers through out the country.
